New Hope for Marketview Heights, Inc., “NH4MVH”, is a community development corporation working in the Marketview Heights neighborhood in Rochester, NY since 2019. We are a public charity with 501(c)(3) designation.

About

New Hope for Marketview Heights, “NH4MVH”, was formed by members of New Hope Free Methodist Church (based just south of Marketview Heights). Starting in 2019, this group has worked to connect with folks in Marketview Heights to learn how we can come alongside them in the work of neighborhood revitalization. We’ve joined 5th Street Block Club for Clean Sweep and Community Cook-outs, met with the folks running the Lewis Street Neighborhood Center, and during the summer have been joining the volunteers at Marketview Heights Collective Action Project’s Community Garden on 1st St. All the while, we’re listening for what the stakeholders in the community tell us the needs are. At the end of 2021, we formally created the community development corporation (a non-profit), New Hope For Marketview Heights, Inc., to be a vehicle for future projects.
